Just as Y Combinator fuels tech innovation, our vision is to spur Biblical Gospel Advancing ideas that go beyond good works or content creation, faith-driven initiatives based on God's promises, that have the potential to cultivate new ground and reap a harvest for His glory.
"Expect Great Things from God, Attempt Great Things for God"
- William Carey
"May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us, so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations." Psalm 67:1-2
What difference can you make?
We hope to equip the next generation to take up the baton and fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), inspired by the legacy of the Student Missions Movement, which began with five college students praying for God to use them for the sake of the world.
We help Christian entrepreneurs turn their Biblical Gospel Advancing ideas through the following process.
Are you a builder, maker, or visionary with a Biblical Gospel Advancing idea?
We’re also gathering a community of believers who understand what Jesus meant in Luke 16:8-9 - using worldly resources shrewdly to invest in eternal impact.
HarvestCrowd (HC) has been a long time in the making. After committing my life to God, I prayed for Him to grant me the desires of my heart ( Psalm 37:4 ). What followed was a personal struggle, to truly delight in God rather than in the material comforts and social circles around me. I had mistaken ministry activity for intimacy with God, thinking that my usefulness equated to faithfulness, while often taking His grace for granted (pride) and failing to rest in it.
Everything changed when I went through the biggest storm of my life, losing someone I loved and facing financial struggles. But through the turmoil, God opened my eyes to the deeper meaning of Matthew 6:19–34, and reminded me, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
He showed me the most obvious and profound truth: Jesus is not only our Savior and Lord, but also our Treasure.
Somehow, I was led back to the university campus - but this time, not into Christian student ministry, but into the world of startups and innovation. There, I observed shrewd entrepreneurs who lived with deep conviction aligned with their values. I was challenged and inspired. I said to myself, If they can live so intentionally for worldly gain, which does not last, how much more should we, as followers of Christ, live with conviction for the gospel, which is eternal.( Luke 16: 8 )
We mean that our mission is rooted in the belief that the Bible is the authoritative word of God, given to guide us in doing His will, even if we don’t fully understand everything yet or always agree on its interpretation.
While many Christian denominations may share similar goals, their motives and reasons can differ. For us, it must be the Biblical gospel of grace, The Good News - is that salvation is a gift from God, not earned but received by faith, as stated in Ephesians 2:8–9.
By "Unreached People Groups", we mean groups with little or no access to the Gospel. While all people are equally in need of Christ, not all have the same opportunity to hear about Him.
We follow the Joshua Project's definition: an unreached group has less than 2% Evangelical Christians and less than 5% Christian adherents.
Individuals are considered unreached not just because they don’t believe, but because they belong to a group with very limited Christian presence.
William Carey, the first official missionary to India, wrote an essay titled "An Enquiry into the Obligations of Christians to Use Means for the Conversion of the Heathens." In it, he encouraged the church to use every possible means to spread the gospel to every person in the world.
We encourage fervent prayer for the Good News to be proclaimed, accompanied by acts of mercy and justice, as commanded by Jesus ( Matthew 5:16 ).
This principle not only fosters community engagement but also promotes economic and social impact—such as job creation, education, and healthcare—as demonstrated throughout the history of Christian missions. It is within this context that we see opportunities to build and launch self-sustainable business platforms.
When we say "crowdfunding," we’re using the term in a general sense—not strictly in the legal or regulatory definition. We’re referring to raising funds through any combination of sources available to us, including traditional crowdfunding platforms, angel investors, syndicates, and even venture capital.
That said, our primary source of funding is our own community—a network of passionate individuals who believe in our mission.
